Summer Shopping For My Classroom!

I love shopping over the summer for new and exciting things I want to have in my classroom! For the last few weeks, I have been collecting some great finds that I am so excited to share with you.

Now that the summer sale has started I headed over to Lakeshore to see what I could find. Just walking in and seeing all of their beautiful and bright colors makes my teacher heart happy.

I have always loved the products that Schoolgirl Style designs and her new “Hello Sunshine” line is adorable. I couldn’t resist some new borders and the pom pom cut outs. I am thinking I will use them as cubby labels next year.

The glitter bulletin board letters also stole my heart! I think I will use those on my big bulletin board out in the hall if I can incorporate them into our new school wide theme. The big pile of smelly stickers just shows that I teach littles. It is amazing how hard a kindergartener will work for a smelly sticker!

I was specifically looking for a new game for my classroom that enforces rhyming words, so I was over the moon when I found this game called “Launch and Learn”. I think the kids will love how interactive it is and I love how many rhyming pictures it comes with. I am so excited to try it out this August!

The Target Dollar Spot never disappoints and I was very excited to find a few gems there too! The balancing ark and animals will be a great addition to my block area when we are learning about Noah’s Ark. The ABC Pocket Chart activity will be great review for my kiddos who need a little more practice with letter identification. Although those sponge letters are for art, I think the kids would love playing with them in my sensory table at the beginning of the year.

Lastly I could not believe my eyes when I saw these turquoise bins at Target. This is my favorite color and I have never them sold there before! Each item was only between $2-$3 dollars which is so great. If you love this color as much as I do, I would head to Target soon. I bet they won’t last long!

It’s always so fun to start day-dreaming about my classroom as I sit by the pool. I have a few more weeks of sweet summer before my teacher brain fully comes back. I hope you find some great new classroom items too and I would love to hear about them in the comments!

Happy Teaching and Happy Shopping!
