Christmas Angel Craft

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!  I absolutely love celebrating Christmas in my kindie classroom and this angel craft makes for the perfect activity.  I love to have a parent helper assist at the center so the kids get that extra help.  When we are done with the angels, they make an adorable bulletin board.

Gather together some cotton balls, coffee filters, doilies, pipe cleaners, glue, glitter glue and a stapler.  Hopefully you have a lot of these supplies already in your classroom!

Step 1:  Wrap a coffee filter around a cotton ball.  Place the cotton ball a little off center so when it gets wrapped by the coffee filter the “skirt” of the angel dress looks layered.  Secure it with a piece of silver or gold pipe cleaner.  Leave room on each pipe cleaner to later secure the wings.

Step 2:  Pinch together the center of a doily to make the angel wings.  Staple the doily in the middle to secure.  Then attach the wings to the back of the angel by wrapping them with the left over silver or gold pipe cleaner.

Step 3:  Make a halo with another piece of silver or gold pipe cleaner.  Glue the halo on top of the angel’s head.

Step 4:  Decorate with glitter glue!

Aren’t these angels so cute?!?  I added them to a bulletin board so everyone could enjoy them walking by our classroom :0)

Merry Christmas!
